Starting April 21st Google will implement a new Algorithm that will favour mobile friendly websites in searches. This really comes as no surprise especially since 80% of internet users now own a smart phone. Statistics further shows that Search is the most common starting point for product research, done by consumers from their mobile devices.

 

According to a recent study by Google, 4 out of 5 consumers will do an online search on their smartphone, for information first before visiting the store.

What does this mean for your website? It really means that mobile friendly websites will rank better in mobile search results than websites that are not mobile friendly.
